1000cbm Land Drill Rig
Houston to Sydney

The 1000cbm Land Drill Rig was approx two thirds complete when shipped from Houston into Sydney. Seventeen semi trailers were required to truck the Rig components to Adelaide where is was finished, assembled, tested, then trucked to Queensland where it has been drilling for some years. By landing the shipment in Sydney, we saved our client approx US$35,000 in freight costs and needless to say we have since handled many more shipments (ex Singapore, Vancouver and Houston) for them.

Heavy earth moving equipment
New Zealand to both Fremantle and Africa

This was a special bulk purchase by a local (Western Australian) client after a major mining project was finished in the South Island of New Zealand. A special purposes Heavy lift vessel was chartered to bring some of the Machinery to Fremantle and then take the balance to Ghana in Africa, along with some other locally sourced supplies for their Gold Mining interests in that country. The real challenge presented with this shipment was the stability of the ship whilst loading and unloading, given some of the items weighed 80-120 tonne. Great care had to be taken that the vessel was balanced at all times. Also, a major cleaning operation had to be undertaken prior to shipment, to ensure no mud or dirt remained on any of the equipment due to Australia's strict Quarantine requirements.

We are pleased to be helping many Raid participants with their Freight and Customs clearance requirements."
